The best coffee in town. Barriques & Collectivo are pretty good, but Ancora is where it's at. I
Their coffee takes the crown. Freshly roasted, with a wide selection of roasts and origins for your cup o' Jo. I can't attest to their specialty drinks or cold brews, but the Jo is FANTASTIC. Also, best place in Madison to buy coffee beans for your home. Oh, and they sell alcoholic beverages if you're stopping in in the evening.
Atmosphere is very pleasant. They sell local artwork, there's a fireplace, and a salt & pepper chess board.
Their baristas are great- but I'm not the one to demand much from my barista besides a skill at working with coffee, and they got that.
