Went into get my rear wheel replaced and a tune-up and the guy who took my bike gave me a fair quote ($125). The day it was supposed to be ready I got a call saying it wasn't, and would I like to get my handle bars replaced (needed to be done so I ok'd it for $15 extra). Needless to say, when I was presented with a $215 bill, I was shocked! At this point only, I was told that I'd need to pay that $215 bill in cash! If I had known the cost, I would have rather bought a new bike. The owner did not want to justify the extra cost and didn't want to give me a break down of the work he did - he just kept saying "I care about the safety of my customers" and that he did "lots of work". Post-tune up, my gears are messed up and my brakes are dangerously loose and unresponsive. I'll take it back to somewhere I know to be good (like the Bike Joint, why I didn't take it there in the first place....). There areno reviews of this place, so I thought I should share to let other cyclists know.
