This place deserves a five star review. We drove all the way from Tempe to Cave creek and it was worth it. This place is cute cafe with outside seatings, a bar as you enter and nice table couch seating inside. It's a little congested with a lot of accommodation inside but can't complaint. It was really crowded on a Friday night and would definitely suggest reserving in advance. We reserved a date night a special they running on Fri and Sat with a 6 course meal and 3 cocktails. Guess what it costs only $54 per person. Gosh! They making other restaurants run for their money. The waiters are really sweet and specially the chef, he came every time to present the food and explain what it was. Such a wonderful experience we had. This week when we went the theme was more southern. Just to mention we had restrictions on food and they were so accommodating and sweet about it. The first food that arrived was pimento cheese and house soda crackers. The cheese was delicious and the crackers was house made, fresh off the oven, crunchy, smooth and buttery. Next, they gave us seared peaches with goat cheese, gosh I'm still craving for that. The peaches were so juicy, the pepper jam, chèvre, arugula, woo the whole combination was spot on. 3rd was the cod with spicy boiled peanuts. This was not on the menu and I would suggest them to add it. Mind blowing food, the fish was soft, juicy and seared with spices, it was wonderful. It was served with cave creek bourbon, tasty as hell. 4th we were given a mint julep granite, that was the first time I had and I am already a fan. It had bourbon syrup and great stuff to break the monotony of all food. The main course was slowly cooked shrimp, potatoes and corn. It was served with lemon and butter. The sauce was delicious, jumbo shrimp topped with butter, u can't go wrong with it. This was served with Riesling. Finally icing on the cake Mississippi mud pie. I always have a bite of dessert coz they are generally too sweet for me but this one was right on. I could eat the complete mug of the creamy chocolaty pie. It was rich, perfectly sweetened. A huge shout out to this restaurant and wish they open this cafe in other locations too.
