This all hotel suite is off the strip and part of the Harrah's family. I'm a loyal total rewards member, so I was able to get our rooms comped for thu-sat nite, and $45 for sun nite. I really don't gamble that much so I suggest being loyal to some program to get these perks. While it's off the strip, it is down the street from the Palms and provides a free shuttle to Ballys/Paris and Harrahs quite frequently.
The rooms are suites, so it's very spacious. With 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, you can easily squeeze 6 in and more on the floor if you're strapped for cash. There is a sink outside the bathroom and huge mirrors for girls to do their makeup without tying up the bathroom. there's also a fridge (big plus!) so you can stock up on your own alcohol instead of getting them at the clubs.
+the store downstairs is 24hrs so you can stock up on food, alcohol, etc, anytime.
+there's also a free hourly show on the weekends, where they throw beads.
+we stopped by the pool on friday. it had 3 pools, 1 was for kiddies with a sand/beach area. another was a lap pool, and the last was a pool with a waterfall. beautiful and serene. voodoo beach is towards the back, but you could hear the music in the family pools at a much tolerable noise level.
+we played at the tables on sunday. our dealer named Lucy was an older lady but very nice. she was such a sweetheart. it made our playtime fun.
Some issues we had with the rooms... on Saturday nite, for some reason none of our keys were working. I called down to front desk and they sent security up, but i was impatient so i went downstairs first. they reactivated my key. and security sent up 2 more key cards that were working. we also had housekeeping come in early mon morning and disrupted our sleep, but i forgot to put the privacy sign out, so that was my fault. Lastly, we woke up to an alarm... not a fire alarm, but one that said "we are investigating the reason for this alarm..." and later said "we have determined that it was a false alarm." annoying
we also partied at the voodoo lounge (-) and ate at the carnival world buffet (+) and martorano's (italian). search for them specifically for my reviews.
on a side note, we did the buffet of buffets. 7 buffets unlimted for 24 hr period. i totally recommend it. just be prepared to wait in lines.
