The new kid on the block! Why is it when I go to Costco for chicken I leave with the most random stuff I didn't know I needed and I'm 400$ lighter? Sheesh. This is Calgary's newest Costco and it's in the new mall central area of Balzac (or as us inner city folk call it - Timbuktu). The handy thing to notice is that it's not yet as busy as the other zoos (I mean Costcos), so that's my sales point for this one. Like all Costco locations it's very tidy, organized, amazing looking meat (who said that?), great produce and busy cash tills. There is lots of parking and the access is far better than the other locations. A bonus was the new liquor store which has some great wines that are definitely cheaper than local stores. I tried three that I have never had before which were all very good choices leaving me to believe they have picked specific varietals for their selection. April challenge 15/30 - half way.
