My central A/C is blowing warm air so I figure the compressor has gone out. I'm calling around different A/C contractors to see what their warranties are on parts and on workmanship and the lady who answers the phone is truly stumped. Because she can't answer she says that she doesn't get asked that a lot. Really? I let her know that most people would want to know that before paying $100's if not $1000's on work done. After that she back pedals some more and states that she is new and has only been there 6 mo's. At that point I told her I will take my business elsewhere. If the face of the company is either being evasive or just truly incompetent, then either way it's a bad sign. I give people the benefit of the doubt, but this probably just reconfirms their bad reviews here on yelp, google, etc. Sad but true...it seems that it's gotten to the point where I am actually surprised when a contractor deals in a straightforward manner, and competently does the work that you paid them for.
