My wife and I purchased a storm door from the Lowes at Northlake. This door was supposed to be installed Friday 5/12/17, on Thursday we get a call from Lowe's ONLY installer Chris to say that he checked the weather forecast and that they have to reschedule our appointment for the following week 5/18/17 due to rain. I called Corporate and spoke to three representatives to complain I also called Lowe's Management at Northlake no one could help. The rep at Lowe's Management and Donnie (the guy who sold us the storm door) said he heard nothing ever about this policy. My thing is this is a Mother's Day gift that I purchased for my wife and it would not be installed on time. Also, Lowe's is a huge company so please tell me why haven't Corporate looked into this issue because from my understanding you have ONLY one contractor that does work for you all. I would hate for this man "Chris to fall off the earth better yet just keep refusing work or keep rescheduling. I know that some will say that I am making a big thing out of this but to tell you the truth this is our neighborhood store. I keep giving Lowe's the benefit of the doubt because last year we purchased a storm door and they canceled the job as well so I just asked for a refund as we had already waited 3 weeks for the install after purchase. This is the second door I purchased and their so called contractor has canceled. I know this is the same contractor because Chris told me that he have been a Lowe's contractor for the last 20 years. Several Lowe's employees called Chris yesterday and Chris treated them as if he was Lowe's CEO himself telling them what he was not going to do it and it was already rescheduled. This really sucks because I actually lost money to keep my schedule open for Lowe's install and no one acknowledged that. On top of that I asked Corporate if she could cancel the installation and she assured me that she would call the store to handle my request. When I get to the store to pickup the storm door she said my whole order was canceled. Donnie (great Lowe's worker) said he remember and was aware of the issues and got me taken care of. Me being the customer I feel that is bad practice. As I write this review I have not seen a drop of rain which Chris predicted would interfere with the install.
