I was very excited to check out this place while back in town visiting family. Unfortunately, The Spotted Owl was not as excited for me to stop by. After grabbing dinner nearby, the group I was with made the short walk hoping to grab an after-dinner drink. We walked in to a mostly empty room, the bar had a few open spots and many empty tables. We scoped out the bar and made our way over to a spot, only to be abruptly stopped by a chubby, displaced valley girl who was apparently the bar's "hostess". She greeted us in a very condescending manner, informing us that we were not in allowed to sit at the bar and they did not allow people to stand near the bar. We were then offered to put our name down for a reservation if we wanted to wait. I am disappointed that this is our first impression of this place, we had high hopes and were sorely let down.
