See also follow up appt review at mesa office... This may be a fine place for cosmetic purposes or whatever other reasons you may see fit for a dermatologist- however, if you are booking an appointment with a dermatologist for A skin scan, skin cancer suspicion, procedures, or treatment this is NOT the place to help you. My first visit was short, I had a small cyst on my upper lip/cheek just under my nose , after speaking with an esthitician it dawned on me it may be cancer, I booked my first visit. A very quick body scan determined no areas were of concern besides the area I already questioned and pointed out- a suprise to me because I am fair skinned with many moles and "Sun damage", being my first visit to a dermatologist and first full body skin scan I thought the hasty manner seemed strange but must have been normal. This was followed by numbing of the area and cutting a small sample with a scalpel- all of which was done by a physicians assistant/nurse with no sign of a doctor  to my knowledge.  "We will send this to the lab and give you a call with the results." Having already been quite certain of the results myself I asked  "then what?" "We do the same thing in office, some numbing and cut with the scalpel but it will be done by the doctor and she will cut more." The whole appointment was treated with a very casual manner.. felt routine and impersonal. A few weeks later I get the call, a voicemail stating it was my doctor and she recieved the results, and to please call back. I called back immediately and asked for the doctor by name and said I was returning a call about my results. The receptionist replied the doctor was not available and after some hesitation informed me that I tested positive for BCC skin cancer and they wanted to schedule the follow up procedure, based on the doctors and my schedule, this was booked for 2 months out.
