Island Flavor is hands down my favorite spot for local food when I'm missing the flavors of my Hawai'i!
First of all, the portions are HUGE! I've learned after a couple visits with my family that I am not capable of finishing a plate by myself, so my sister and I always share. My favorite and what seems to be the most popular plate lunch is the Furikake Chicken. The chicken is crispy, moist, and so freaking full of flavor! I'm a creature of habit and tend to get this every time I go, but it's just too delicious to try something else! The poke is great too! The fish is cut into perfect sized cubes and it's always fresh. If you have room for dessert, they have a fridge in the corner full of different cakes... Haupia is to die for! Sometimes they even have fresh kulolo near the register that you can take to-go too! Yum!
Overall, the BEST place to go for local food in the Henderson area! Great food and even better service! The staff is awesome!
