My husband told me once that he "craves" his spinach salads and I just rolled my eyes (internally) and thought, "Okay, whatever. Are you even human?" Well, roll your eyes if you like (with my complete understanding) but I now crave the salad greens at AJ's. Here is what I get. A decaf (so I can sleep that night) Apricot tea and then at their salad bar I fill the container with their mix of greens, sprinkled with sunflower seeds, mandarin oranges, craisins, grilled chicken and fresh Parmesan cheese. Then I pour on their creamy balsamic dressing (someone told me it was some kind of mushroom balsamic, but it doesn't taste like mushrooms, it tastes like a raspberry balsamic, so maybe they are wrong). And then I get one of the small square French rolls from the same place you get tea. If I take it home, I toast the roll and butter it. Real butter. And I will also add some fresh strawberries and walnuts to the salad. I. Am. In. Heaven. Let the eye rolling commence.
