Dr. Allen used to be my doctor when he was at another clinic and except for one occasion when he was too quick to refer me to a German urologist (who used to be his professor or something) who literally sounded like a James Bond villain and wanted to insert a torture device into my genitals without a thorough examination (turned out a prescription fixed my problem for good), I thought he was a good doctor and saved my son's life by quickly and accurately diagnosing a burst appendix and sending us off to the emergency room. After "losing" him for a while after a change in my insurance, I decided to call his office today so I could get him back as my PCP. Well, things have changed apparently, His office says that he no longer sees patients directly and instead has his Physician Assistants see you instead. He only sees patients directly if they're cash-paying (i.e., no insurance). So what's the point of having a good doctor if you don't even get to see that doctor. Goodbye, Dr. Allen.
