@ Marco BAHAHAHAH!! I feel the exact same way. I myself also speak very quickly but this guy! (the instructor) was unbelievable! I've been practicing yoga now for 2 years on and off. My usual studio is Moksha Downtown (mix of bikram and ashtanga) or Downward Dog (Ashtanga). I'm use to the calm and relaxing feel i get from yoga. When i decided to try Bikram I was super excited, i loved hot yoga, so why not? CONS: 1. This is a con and a pro I guess but the class is HOT HOT HOT, i literally thought I was going to FAINT when i came in, and ive done alot of yoga in my lifetime 2. I didn't really enjoy the class doors or the red lines, i know it's suppose to be sleek and all, but I kind of felt like i was in a bad remake of an electra movie 3. i felt out of place immediately, maybe it's because i came early and did a flow on my mat ( :S, there are no flows in Bikram) 4. the instructor was talking at the speed of light! I literally was shell shocked, i didn't know if he was actually instructing a class or telling me to run cause the place was on fire 5. when he tried to correct me on a pose, he didnt come over and gently guide me, it was more like " YOU- YOU - YOU THERE IN THE BLUE - BLUE TANK TOP- HAND RIGHT- RIGHT HAND- DOWN- DOWN-DOWN-DOWN-DOWN-DOWN KAY GOOD! " 6. I seriously felt the elitest vibe going on, it was super competitive, and people were wearing matching yoga bras and undies and i could see their butt cheeks sticking out in class! (it's yoga, not a VS fashion show) 7. i don't know if its because the changerooms are small and cramped, (the ladies aren't at least), but after class people were sitting huffy and puffy on the floor outside the changeroom doors PROS: 1. the greeting staff were very nice and friendly, they told me the class would be really HOT (true to their word) 2. it's located relatively close to st. george station (5 min walk) 3. they called me to follow up a week later, which was nice i guess, but i also felt awkward cause extreme fitness would do that and god knows i hate them. OVERALL, i will not be returning. But for people who are super competitive and like sweating buckets, GO FOR IT! ps. i asked them why they talked so fast, they told me its because there's alot of instruction to dole out, and the talking distracts from the heat.
