This is the worst management company to deal with. When you first start talking to them to try to lease, they are so nice and accommodating since they want you to sign and to get your money. In trying to leave, that's where it's unbearable trying to deal with these people. I signed on to a lease after my roommates were there for 1 year and there were no problems doing so. As I leave Cleveland for a job, apparently there is no way on earth I can get signed off of the lease, even though the 2 original roommates are staying and someone is signing on to take my room. Why? They said it's "corporate policy" (when it's NEVER been communicated to any of us, and not in the contract we all signed). They refuse to sign a roommate release form as well, when both of my roommates have agreed to sign one. Simply put, they have been the absolute worst in trying to deal with them as I leave. It would be one thing if this was clearly stated in the signed contract, but it's no where to be found anywhere. As I try to rent a new apartment where my job is out of state, I am unable to sign a lease since I am already on this lease. The hamptons doesn't care. They only care about your $$ and it shows. After renting for 10+ years, these people are by far the worst I've ever had to deal with.
