It has been a few years since I've been to Hugos cellar. The previous experience was most awesome. The experience last night was lackluster. The prime rib was excellent, as was the salad. The sides to the meal - not stellar. Additionally for so much staff, the attention to my table was lacking. I had asked my server to see a wine list for wines by the glass. He asked me what type of wine I was interested in, I said Cabernet and he said we only have one of those by the glass. When the sommelier brought the wine for me to taste, he told me he had a secondary Cabernet by the glass (strike one). After the meal was finished, the support person asked if we would like for coffee. But the main server did not come around and off for dessert - he only brought the bill. Lastly, this is the first restaurant including Denny's, we are one of the staff took the signed bill prior to us departing. All in all I will most likely not return to Hugos cellar.
