From out of town for EPIC and first time in Madison. I was looking for a good place to grab a bite and a drink at the bar. Since I love Old Fashions, I thought I'd try this place as it was also highly reviews and recommended. The bar staff were very nice, welcoming and offered local suggestions on things to see and do. I got the house burger on a gluten free bun and it was divine! Big juice burger with perfectly cooked, chewy bacon, some kind of fantastic garlic sauce and a sunny side up egg. It was a downright tasty burger! And the gluten free bun is one of the best I've had. It had a nice texture that held together even when the juices from the burger were coming through. They have a variety of old fashions, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the choices, I asked the bartender what he recommended. He suggested the basic recipe.. it was one of the best old fashions I've ever had! To wrap it up, I got the check and was wowed... only $17!! I would have paid almost that for my cocktail or burger alone in Philly!! If you're in town and looking for a great place to go... GO!
