I stayed at Downtown Inn in February with one of my girlfriends. She loves to stay at B&Bs so we chose this one for a weekend stay in Toronto. It was centrally located in Toronto's gay-friendly area. About two blocks away from a subway station and near lots of restaurants. One drawback is there is no parking on the street and we had to put our car in a municipal pay lot. The best thing about the Inn was the beds. OMG, once I snuggled underneath the covers it was sleep city. Best linens. Best mattress. Best pillows. The place is sparsely decorated but it works. The furnishings that are present were nice and modern. The inn-keeper was very pleasant although mostly absent but we didn't mind. Breakfast was laid out in the morning and easy to help yourself. We didn't need much from him anyway but if we did, I suspect it would've been easy to reach him. I would stay here again. The price was right and the stay was comfy. Really what we've come to expect from B&Bs - that home away from home feeling.
