Full disclosure - I'm an unpaid volunteer at Berea ARF but even if I weren't, I'd give it 4 paws up. Berea ARF is a no time limit shelter primarily run by a small staff and a huge army of volunteers. As a volunteer, I can say that the people I work with are THE best. We all love animals and choose to be there because we want to help homeless furry companions find forever homes. I live much closer to other shelters but choose to volunteer in Berea because it's clean, well run, and most important to me - cats and dogs are housed in separate buildings. I have nothing against Fido, but I'm more of a crazy cat lady, and it's nice to get to volunteer in an all cat building. I'm sure it's less stressful for the animals, too. So whether you're looking to add a furry friend to your family or you're looking for a fun volunteer opportunity, check out Berea ARF!
