Came here to try the new food menu on the second floor. In short, the Soba was alright but not wow and the green tea soufflé pancakes were decent but I probably wouldn't crave for it like I would crave for their soft serve and other dessert items on their regular menu downstairs. I ordered the Tonkotsu Soy Milk Tsuke Soba which is one of the items the server recommended. My friend ordered the Miso Tsuke Soba. Both items consist of a plate of cold Soba noodles topped with seaweed and matcha powder, and a bowl of warm soup in the flavour you ordered for dipping. I would suggest the Tonkotsu Soy Milk if you like more flavourful soup. We also ordered the matcha soufflé pancakes to share. The texture of the pancakes were soft and light, which lives up to it being a 'souffle' pancake. You can taste the matcha flavour in the pancakes if you don't use the syrup...the syrup will pretty much cover all the matcha taste so we didn't use much of it. Pancakes are not that sweet so it's good that it comes with some ice cream on the side. I think tsujiri can up the pancakes with offering their famous soft serve ice cream on the side instead of the ball of regular ice cream though. Overall I had an interesting meal trying new food items that are not readily available in the rest of Toronto. I am interested in coming back to try their afternoon tea set desserts!
