Java House is perfect at what it is. You see it, and you're like "ah, right - that's where I want to go." And then it exactly meets your expectations. There is lots of beer, and the food is fine and cheap and there are lots of choices. And seriously - it's fine. It's better than average for bar food, even. You're not going to your local five-star restaurant here.
The ambiance is excellent, and it's busy but not too loud. In the afternoon you can chill out and read, and in the evening you can meet up with friends and be happy indefinitely. The waitstaff is good-looking and just surly enough. Yay!
