I have been living in San Tropez for almost three years. It has a great location (5 minutes from Old Town, 10 minutes from Tempe Marketplace and ASU). It has definitely improved since the new management took over a year ago (it used to be Equity and now it is NALS). They have improved the gym and pool area and added cabanas. I also like the landscaping, so much of Arizona has the desert cactus thing going on, but this place has trees and grass. The pool is a lot of fun, there is usually quite a few people there in the summer, and there are plenty of grills and a bar area with a huge LCD TV. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is not so great on weekends, but during the week it is fine. If you are looking for a more quiet apartment then probably don't live by the pool as this is the noisiest area. I don't live by the pool and I rarely hear much noise. Now for the units themselves. The cabinetry and appliances are from 1990 when the apartments were built. The 1 bedrooms are huge. The walls are kind of thin and I can hear the water and pipes when someone in the apartment next to me takes a shower. Bottom line: I think this place is a good deal for what you get in the location it is in.
