I went to Southtown for the first time and was told I had 6 cavities. I had never had a cavity before in my life, and felt very skeptical to believe what he was saying, because i take extremely good care of my teeth (I floss, use a rigged tooth pick, brush, and mouthwash everyday). I told them I was going to get a second opinion so had them send me my X-rays to send to my family friend/ lifetime dentist in California. She said that there was wearing on the teeth and that these were in fact NOT CAVITIES, but could turn into them in the future, but could also be fixed with prescription toothpaste. She said every dentist would know that, and that operating on the teeth at this point would be a way to aggressive approach. To be more blunt, THEY WERE SCAMMING ME!
My dentist from california has been in the industry for over 40 years and said it is sad for her to see these young dentist in the business for the wrong reasons ($$). I am extremely disappointed and hope everyone who goes here in the future is weary. They experience besides them lying, was good so don't be fooled!
Dr. Nelson also had a disciplinary action against him which you can see here:
