I can't believe I've never written a review about Zen....This is one of my most favorite places to have dinner in Charlotte. One of the things I like most about Zen is the staff and the owners. They always do a fantastic job whether you are sitting at the bar or at table. Zen is one of those places that you can go in for a casual drink at the bar (I recommend a drink called the Blackout but only one not two), bring coworkers for a work dinner, have a meal with your family or a casual outing with friends.
The food is always fantastic, I can't recall a time when I got something that I didn't like. The menu consist of various Asian dishes along with Spanish tapas. They also have sushi and daily specials. I can't even name all of the dishes that I've had, I have probably had 95% of their menu and it has all been excellent. I recommend their blue cheese calamari and a must try is the Tres Leches cake....It is to die for!
They have live music on Wednesdays and various drink specials throughout the week. I particularly love half price bottles of wine on Sundays. If you haven't been to Zen, you're most definitely missing out!
