Oh Bingham. I'm surprised other people haven't reviewed this yet - although there's plenty of reviews if you go to other sites, so if you're considering living here, be sure to check those out.
The Good:
-24 hour gym that can actually call itself a gym. Plenty of machines, a separate room with mirrors for stretching/pilates/yoga/setting up a fitness video, free weights. Absolutely no need to buy a gym membership elsewhere.
-Parking garage below building
-Decently sized apartments, at least the two-bedroom ones (can't vouch for others)
-Constatino's grocery is connected to it - you truly never have to leave.
-Great location if you like the Warehouse District
-Cool warehouse-y floors (although my apartment is carpeted, the coolness stops at the door)
-Penthouse has good views of city and Lake Erie, although now there's a building blocking the lake view
The Bad:
-Expensive. One of the most expensive places in Cleveland, and as good as some things are, I'm not totally convinced it's worth it.
-HAVE to get cable. Yes, it's just $20/month, but I don't want it!
-Elevators. Don't get me started. There's three elevators: one that goes from floor 1 (floors 1-4 are parking) to the penthouse, one that just does floors 3-12, and another that does floors 5 (ground floor)-12. Residents will hit all the elevator buttons - so if you're like me and park on the first floor, not only will it take forever to get that one elevator, but you'll find yourself stopping on every floor only to have the doors open up to an empty lobby. Frustrating doesn't even begin to describe it.
-Fire alarms. So far, about once every 2 months. Takes a while to clear them.
-Thin walls. Fine if you have good neighbors, less good when your neighbors like to play their music at 1am.
-Long wait list for an apartment. Apparently a lot of people thing this is the place to be. Not super sure they're right.
-Management - super nice to you when you're trying to live there, but then basically ignore you. I drive a massive truck and have to execute some prettttttty trick maneuvers to get into my parking spot. I've been complaining about this for about 6 months (I actually dented my truck in the garage), and keep getting told they'll do something, but I've lost hope.
You can't really make a WRONG choice by choosing to live here, but you should ask yourself if it's worth the waitlist and price.
