Chongo's Market is an interesting little place.
While in the summer, when a lot of the fruits and vegetables are in season in Alberta and BC, it can be pretty great.
However, from looking around at the boxes the fruit and veggies come from, and having friends who have worked there in the past, a lot of the produce seems to come from the same suppliers as big box grocery stores.
I am a much bigger fan of retailers who can actually vouch for the sources of their food. I am much more inclined to visit Souto Farms at the Calgary Farmer's Market, or Sunnyside Natural Market if I want to be sure of where my produce came from.
