I'm a numbers guy, so usually I average the factors involved in a review & determine the rating that way. But we had such a bad experience with the help up front, that I can't give this place a rating other than a 1 star. Before I get into that, there were some definite positive aspects: the gym was sweet, both the indoor & outdoor pool/hot tub were great & there was always plenty of parking. Traditionally the women at the desk were pleasant & the move-in process went pretty well. That said, this place really dropped the ball with the our lease. We signed up (& paid extra) for a 6 month lease so that we could move into a bigger apt. Then when the time came for us to move into a new place, they rented all the units out to other people & didn't have anything left for us to move into. If the unit we were living in was great, that wouldn't have been a big deal - but it wasn't. The people across the hall from us smoked & every other tenant on the hall cooked oriental food with peanut oils & who knows what else. So we lived in a combination of oriental food mixed with second hand smoke leaking under our door. We spoke to them multiple times about the smoke, but nothing ever got done. It was really a bad situation. Every time we stepped out of the elevator it was like walking into smokers lane. Not a good situation. They also didn't give us the full refund for our parking & had very poor communication with the whole "move-out" process. On top of it all, we didn't give them 60 days notice, so we had to wait & see if anyone would rent out the room so we could get some money back, but of course it didn't happen & we ended up paying an extra month's rent. It could be bad luck that we lived in smokers lane, but it wasn't bad luck that they were incompetent in the upgrade of rooms & not at all helpful in the move-out process. When I look back at my time there, it's mostly negative.
