Fun evening at Nick's before the Jerry Seinfeld show at the Overture. Reservations were handled by Dino, even though we had a late addition - Dino was accommodating. Jack our server did a great job, kept things moving since he knew we were on a schedule. The ladies had reuben's and a veggie reuben ("best ever" she exclaimed). A patty melt was served as well. I had the fried perch dinner - and it was equally as good as the rest of the meals served to our table. The soup was an eclectic mix of flavors, apparently a greek house specialty - I'd highly recommend. I also enjoyed the perfectly boiled, whole potato drizzled with melted butter and parsley flakes - it was a delicious substitute for fries. Nick's is a "State Street" original that dates to 1959 - one thing for sure, nothing ever changes at Nick's - which, honestly, I applaud - that's what I like about the place. Genuine. Stop and visit Dino at Nick's Restaurant on State St, I believe you'll enjoy the quaint charm and genuine hospitality.
