Okay, so I was happy they could take me without an appointment... And upon initial inspection, the nails look ok. I got an acrylic set with gel polish over. I had wanted a UV gel set, but it seems they didn't know what that was, didn't have it, or maybe didn't understand me. The issue arose when I got home and took a better look. This was not but 30 minutes after I left the salon, I could see a gap between the tip and the free edge of almost all of my nails. It seems the nail tips weren't placed/glued correctly. I don't normally have my nails done, so for me, it's a big let down when I pay $60 ($50 for the nails plus a $10 tip) to get something like this. They do look good from the top at least. I hope they don't fall off too soon.
