Beautiful old Victorian botanical greenhouses. Large & extensive, with several different types of biomes such as tropical and desert climes represented. Plants all look lush, healthy, and many flowering this time of season. Well kept and labeled specimens -- great big jade plants, aloes, and clivia were cool to see and astonishing to what size they can achieve. Loved the small glassed-in orchid exhibit! There are also several water features within the greenhouses such as a small koi pond, a painted turtle pond, and other quiet and lovely waterworks. Free to public. However, we noted several indigents around the grounds on park benches -- we didn't experience any problems nor threatening feelings, but just something to be aware of.
