Having moved to the area from out of state and with an allergy prone frenchie, we needed to find a vet pretty quickly. We have moved around a lot and it's been a few years since we have been able to find a vet that we love. I found HRPC on yelp and gave them a shot when our frenchie was once again having skin flare ups. I went in fully expecting to battle my way through saying no to allergy testing, food trials, etc for various reasons and having tried so many things that haven't worked over and over again. Dr. Sam was so sweet with Ella! He sat on the ground of the exam room with her and just talked to me about her, asking questions and listening very attentively. I explained that I was not a fan of the steroid approach with allergies and continually prescribing antibiotics for her flare ups and he gave me very simple options that made sense. We decided to put Ella on an allergy medication and he also suggested some supplements we could begin using given she is starting to age. Later, Ella ended up having a gum infection and Dr. Graham had to remove several of her teeth. She was very clear and upfront about the issues she was having in her gums, while not making us feel like it was our fault as it is a common issue with the breed. Everyone in the office has always been very kind on the phone and in person. Both of the doctors we have seen for both of our dogs do not rush us when we have questions and seem to deeply care for our fur babes! It is always very easy to refill Ella's prescriptions. They are also very clear with estimates for cost and are more affordable than other vets we have seen in the past.
