The Black Pig is a nice little place in the heart of Bridgeland that offers a simple menu, with great natural light and ambiance. Service is kind, friendly, and genuine which is hard to say about most places. Although the ingredients are very fresh in the food, you might walk away feeling like something was missing, and maybe even somewhat forgettable. Ultimately I think it's that the dishes' ingredients don't combine in a way that makes every ingredient pop. In the dishes we tried, one ingredient over-powered the rest to the detriment of the dish. The one thing I can say is the Jamon Imberico is something that everyone must taste. The sweet, woody, buttery ham placed on a very fresh yellow tomato baguette was truly amazing. Give the place a try and form your own opinion. You may completely disagree with my opinions.
