My car windshield was damaged when Starkweather Roofing did not wash the debris from my vehicle after they completed their roof work at my current place of employment. I have been in communication with Jeff, the owner of Starkweather, and have asked that they replace my windshield due to a large scratch caused by roof debris. They have offered to pay for half of the replacement but I should not have to pay for a replacement windshield, when the damage could have been completely avoided if Starkweather Roofing had completed the scope of their work, which did include washing of any vehicle that was covered in debris during the completion of the project. I wish that none of this was happening and that I did not have a large scratch obstructing my view while driving but since Starkweather Roofing did not wash my vehicle I am now in danger of being ticketed or causing an accident. It is the right thing for Starkweather to replace the windshield since this would not be happening if they had completed their scope of work.
