I went to this location to look for pieces for my new home. As I was walking around I passed by a dog and I said "how you doing buddy" and it got got, cake at me, nipped my pants just above the knee since he was a small guy. I didn't mind since he was tiny. One lady apologized profusely, which coincidentally was the only lady to greet me at the door. The other older lady there muttered without batting an eye that the dog was "just doing his job." I've wondered what elicited this response- was it because I'm of Asian descent? Was it because I was of Asian descent and young? Does she know I was born in Calgary and raised on a farm? Should it matter?
Any way I look at it, her comment was rude, arrogant, and I'll stop short of calling this old lady racist.
