I've been slowing working my way through the top 20+ rated ice cream placed in Toronto according to various local publications. I was a bit disappointed by Sweet Olenka's in that it was hyped up quite a bit but didn't live up to the hype at all. I'm beginning to realize that blogs and articles relating to restaurants and eating experiences are mostly horse shit. That's what's pushing me to contribute to Yelp more than ever because people really need the truth. Unfortunately, Yelp can also fail me sometimes as I will speak about in another review shortly. Anyway, I digress. Sweet Olenka's is an ok ice cream place. It's super small and the selection is even smaller. The ice cream is predominantly vegan which I guess would make this place really great for Vegans but that's a niche market. I'm glad the place exists because Vegan disserve options but unfortunately taste matters most and in this case, their ice cream is fine, maybe even good, but it's not great by any stretch!
