My experience with this dentist was horrific. She lacks professionalism and was downright mean to me over $50 that she owed me. The office charged me for something that was covered by my insurance, so when I called to inquire about this, I was told a check would be sent to me. After two months of trying to find out when I would receive this money and being told a different story every time I called the office, I resorted to writing Dr. Folatko a personal letter explaining the situation. I was told by one person that the check was on the way, another person that the check was never issued, etc. and there seemed to be a lot of confusion as to where the money was every time I called. Each time, I was told to call back in a few days, so I did. Finally I got frustrated enough to write a letter, not blaming anyone, but just expressing my frustration with the situation. I did not expect, after 7 years as a loyal patient to be treated with a screaming - literally - SCREAMING phone call while I was at work from Dr. Folatko. She accused me of lying, said she was going to check with her bank to make sure I did not deposit the check, accused me of saying her staff was malicious (NEVER did I say that or anything remotely close to that) and when I tried to reply to anything that she was saying, she cut me off, screaming "NO NO NO NO!!!" She was rude, demeaning, accusatory, spiteful, and full of rage and hatred. The entire experience was so shocking and appalling, coming from a doctor no less, over $50 that was mine to begin and end with, it was totally surreal. I had to hold the phone a foot away from my ear and everyone who was in my office at work could hear her screaming. If this is how a "professional" resorts to treating patients, I want no part - for me or for anyone else out there contemplating her as a dentist. NO THANKS!!!
