This place is solid for post drinks, pre-drinks or if you're about hit the road and need some snacks to curb your hunger between cities.
I stumbled upon this snackery after a meeting in downtown and was drawn to the the plain, but sexy sign, "The Beef Jerky Store". How could a store pay the rent on beef jerky sales alone? Well, they don't. This is a veritable cornucopia of not only smoked dried meat, but aisles filled with peanuts, pistachios, chocolate covered almonds, gummie bears, chocolate covered gummie bears, football seeds (whatever the hell those are), and enough rows of dried fruit that would make any pricey organic food store employee shrivel with jealousy.
As I walked in and began explore I noticed that I didn't recognize a lot of the items in here, which really gets me excited. I mean, "Dried Seafood" in a bag?, they don't even tell you what's in it... is it shrimp, clams, tuna? It's just called, "Dried Seafood"? That's kind of awesome! As I wondered around the fairly large store my sweet tooth began to sing and let me know he was in mood for yogurt pretzels, chocolate covered toffee almonds, and because one must not forget the savory side, jalapeño and saffron infused pistachios. Make it rain Beef Jerky Store!
I walked out of here with my head held high, snacking pride at it's finest. Great place to hide from Fremont Street masses and get your snack on.
