This is one of the Macy's that will be closed in a couple of weeks. I went yesterday to their clearance sale. I had been to Macy's right after Christmas (just a few weeks ago) looking for some winter pajamas on clearance. Yep, they had their $60 pjs for 50% off ($30). I thought that was still a little high, so ordered similar ones online at Land's End for just $13 per pair on clearance. Now that the "going out of business" sale has started, I thought I would return to see if these pjs had been marked down further. Imagine my surprise when I found that they had marked them back up to full price ($60) with a 30% going out of business discount. So, the $30 pjs were now $42! REALLY? A couple of weeks ago, they had their $10 towels on sale for $5.80 (I bought 6 towels then). Yesterday, the price was marked back up to $10/towel with a 30% discount ($7). I left without making any purchases. Other customers were also looking at the prices and walking away. I will not return. So long Macy's.
