My mom came into town and I wanted to take her to one of "Phoenix's Best Restaurants." I did my google search and found Barrio Cafe. I read the reviews and found the photos to be inviting. Upon arrival we were welcomed by the host and told a 45 minute wait. Which was expected since it was one of "the best." We sat at the bar and enjoyed the Flaca margaritas which were delicious and probably save this review from a 1 star. Two words: Overrated and Under-delivered. The table side guacamole was anything but spectacular. After a long wait for our food to arrive, we were not impressed. The tacos are miniature. After a mess up on our food and forgetting items on our plate, the waitress actually asked my mom to "scrap off the fries from one plate to put them on her plate." Very disappointed.
