The Carmel Room provides a lovely atmosphere, however the food is very average. The prices are extremely high and the portions were rather small. We ordered from the "Winter Specials" menu, the waiter said these are in existance until the economy gets better, and received an entree, salad and dessert for $39.00. The salad was very tiny, the entree (chicken) also small but the dessert was good. I would not spend my money on such an average meal, although the service was very good. Go somewhere else and get your money's worth. We really felt like they were probably laughing behind our backs at what we paid for our meal.
