I stopped by this afternoon with a Yelp friend to enjoy a pint or two. I prefer this location vs. The Abbot on Yonge street. The bar area is not as crowded, not as dark, they have a cool fireplace in the middle of the dining room and has a real cozy atmosphere. I felt comfortable drinking here. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday afternoon. They beer selection on tap might be limited but there is enough variety that everyone can find something they like. Options included some Mill Street selections, Heineken, Guinness, King Vienna and my personal preference ... Weihenstephan. Pints are in $6-$8 range. Service was good. I was offered a refill as soon as I finished my first pint - I happily accepted. I didn't get a chance to try the food but they had some interesting options on the menu that I will try on my next visit. Today's special was roast beef. On the down side, free parking can be difficult to find but there is a Green P lot in the back if you want to pay. Unlike the Yonge location, they use generic glasses for all the beers. Bonus.... they have home made potato chips that are really good. A great overall experience. I will return when I'm back in the area for sure. BK
