I stayed in this hotel during my Calgary trip, as it is conveniently (well...sort of) located next to a LRT station with quick access to downtown. The lobby actually looks quite nice, quite spacious as well. However, the concierge was rather slow in handling our check-in. Also, we had to leave our luggage behind as our room wasn't ready, even though we arrived a few minutes after the early check-in time. We had a room on the 1st floor, which means we couldn't use the elevator. The floor was quite hard to navigate, as the floor plan is shaped like a peeled banana, and the lighting was quite dark as well. The room itself was actually not bad. I liked the fact there were two sinks in the room, as I was able to cleanse my face while my friend was in the washroom itself showering and doing other stuff. I also liked how the room was spacious, and everything inside worked relatively okay. Would I stay back in this hotel? I do know this hotel gets busy during the Stampede, but if you overlook the slow and disorganized concierge and the dark lighting of the corridors, this place isn't too terrible.
