The BB was my favorite place to see unknown bands and reunited dinosaur rockers when i lived on the east side. I saw some great shows like Love, Mr. Airplane Man and the frequently playing Helper T-Cells. Now, maybe I'm just getting old. Maybe I'm sick of standing next to dorks in faux-thrift store clothing. Maybe i'm sick of paying $4 for swill beer when i can get drunk at home for about that much. But i don't really go there to see shows anymore. I love the basement record store and the jukebox. Don't really like the neighborhood. I will always have fond memories of boozing it up there. Who knows, they might start booking good shows again.
