I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay at The Linq June 1-5 2015. The renovated hotel met all my needs for our stay in Las Vegas. The rooms were VERY CLEAN and I liked the simple modern feel. The bed, pillows, and duvet were very comfortable which I appreciated as I usually have a hard time sleeping in hotels. As non smokers, my husband and I chose a non-smoking room which had no odor, however the lobby/casino area, like most of the older hotels in Vegas, did have a somewhat smoky smell. Upon check in at 1am, my husband requested a room upgrade. I thought the pool was nice if a little small. One downfall of the pool is since it is on the 2nd floor roof with hotel surrounding it, it is partially shaded most of the day and closes a little early at 5pm. There are beds and private party cabanas you can rent for a reasonable price, there are cool misters going all day, and you can order food poolside all day as well as having a full bar, and games on the patio and in the pool. Additionally, the pool chairs and towels were of nice quality and there were several umbrellas for optional shade. The best part of this hotel and reason I'll be returning is the LOCATION. Not only are you dead center of the strip and the hotel is attached to the monorail, but there is a village worth of shops, restaurants, and bars, outside your door as well as live entertainment on the veranda and inside various establishments. My husband's favorite was O'Sheas bar which had beer pong and the Twisted Kilt bar where very attractive waitresses were clad in bra tops and plaid skirts. The Linq is by no means luxurious but I liked it very much and will be staying here again next time.
