I'm glad I gave Midwood another try! I prefer this location to the one on Central Ave. The restaurant was busy for a weeknight and our food was served quickly. We shared the queso with brisket and each ordered a pulled pork dinner. I also ordered the macncheese and creamed corn because I can't help myself at BBQ places. Shh, this is a secret but it's about the sides. The pork was smoky and flavorful even without sauce. We were given several sauces so we were able to decide if we wanted our BBQ with sauce or without. I wouldn't recommend the creamed corn; it was more creamed sauce than corn. Not my favorite. The fries and coleslaw were good, though. I mean how can you go wrong with crinkle fries? I would gladly eat here again. The portions are generous and I took enough home to eat lunch the next day. Give them a go!
