First, let it be known that I didn't pick this nail salon just because it was called "NY Nails." But when I was done I realized this salon has so many of the qualities of what I look for when getting my nails done - which is reminiscent of a lot of the NY places. -Affordability. Prices were on the lower end. I should say, though, that this isn't a "boutique" looking salon with a crystal fountain and a classical "greatest hits" CD playing. It's just a normal place, slightly nicer than a hole-in-the-wall. -Efficiency. I was in and out within 30 minutes (went in for just a manicure). -Color choices were plentiful. -Cleanliness. -Friendliness. The guy who did my nails (and seemingly the owner) seemed to know everyone's name. It's the "Cheers" of nail salons. -No appointment necessary. Always great! -Not certain about hours. Pretty sure they're not open on Sundays (but then again, NY was the only place I knew that had Sunday hours). So I don't hold that against them. A good choice!
