There are quite a few good Mexican Restaurants in Phoenix, and we happened upon one today after church. Don't judge this place by it's name (Tee Pee) or by the looks or even the 50's look. But judge it by the incredible food. The staple of many places are the chips and salsa. How about both home made?!? The chips were light and crispy, the salsa very tasty with a really nice kick. In our group of people (6 from our NOMADS group) there was only one complaint. The portions were very big. One couple had taco salads, one chicken and one beef. Of course the 'edible' bowl light, crispy, and not greasy. The chicken and the beef perfectly seasoned. My wife and another couple had egg dishes which were cooked to perfection. They also said the rice and beans were spot on. I had an enchilada with steak and cheese that was incredible. Usually the steak in these dishes is pretty tough, but not this one! Outstanding flavor and very tender. The red sauce was excellent as was the cheese on top. Definitely a go-to place!
