Can't wait to close my account! Truwest will go out of their way to ensure you pay fees. It's the only credit union I've ever seen where they charge you to use other ATMs, even when they participate in shared branching. Additionally, they will charge you $35 overdraft fee, even if it's less than a dollar. I had Bank of America and when I was with them, if you didn't have money in your account, they'd decline your transaction. End of story. They tell me to drop overdraft protection. Well guess what, apparently it drains their resources to do nothing. Because it happened again (while I closely watch my transactions, sometimes PayPal transfers can take over a week to show up in my account) and they charge you $35 to LITERALLY DO NOTHING. And then they'll charge you a few days later for the same transaction. I've paid $70 in fees for ONE transaction that they literally didn't have to lift a finger on. I will say one thing: if it wasn't for the kind people that work at this branch, I'd have closed my account shortly after opening it.
