I have stayed here numerous times and there is a reason I keep returning: Albert has become a friend and treats us like Family. From my first visit to Montreal until my last one which ended a week ago I've always stayed at Hotel Le Relais Lyonnais. It is within walking distance to many cultural events and the metro. Albert always has suggestions for local events and I have never been disappointed- he is an ambassador to the city of Montreal and the Latin Quarter District Tourists.
The suites are very clean and spacious. I recommend 302. Housekeeping is very kind and efficient. The staff in the restaurant is outgoing, warm, and superb. The food in the restaurant is very delicious and gives you a taste of the French sidewalk dining experience when you dine on the patio. Please patronize the cafe! You will enjoy the meals, chocolates, and baked goods!
The one year there was a small mishap with a reservation- by one night, which happens, and can happen to any hotel. Albert was on his night off away from the business and he and his wife came to greet us, explained the issue personally on their "date night" and worked super hard to find us a place to stay that night when the entire town was booked for a convention. They were relentlessly working and found us a place, drove us there, got us to our room, and the next day got us to our "real" hotel room at Hotel Le Relais Lyonnais :-). I only share this to show how much Albert cares about his customers and relationships. He truly values customers and I think you will not be disappointed at the Hotel Le Relais Lyonnais.
