This is my go-to restaurant when I'm staying in this part of Toronto. Very convenient location close to multiple TTC subway lines, and right across the street from the Marriott. I guess you might describe this place as a modern take on a British pub. The ceiling are high, there is a sharp chrome inspired color palate, and there are references to the London Underground logo throughout. In fact, the restaurant's logo itself is inside the Tube design. Food-wise, it's pretty standard for a Firkin pub. Not just in terms of the items on the menu, but the exact presentation as well. I have to wonder how much if it is made to order in the restaurants kitchen vs prepared at s central Firkin kitchen and sent out frozen. The Indian dishes are pretty good, but do yourself (and your waist line) a favor and sub rice for the mashed potatoes the Indian chicken dish is served over. One of the nice things about s British pub is how they use British sized pit glasses. The Hoptical Illusion IPA was on special a few times I've been here and is a real bargain. I've only ever been to one other Firkin pub, the one on Yonge, but out of the two, I would have to say this one is my favorite.
