Hooray for the local hardware store! In this day of Canadian Tire's and Home Depots, it's great to have a local option next door. What really makes this store are the staff. I'm not a home repair expert, and when I really need some advice, this is where I come. I'll tell one STORY: I needed to figure out how to mount some blinds in a concrete wall, so I brought in all the mounting hardware, my various drill bits, and left my pride at home. They were more than happy to help me figure out a solution. I really wanted to tip them because the cost was under $2 as they're perfectly happy to sell you screws 1 at a time. The SERVICE is EXCELLENT. They can get a little busy, but the staff has always been happy to help without hesitation. The PRICES are a little all over the map. I've found items that were eminently reasonable like various fasteners and the like that were priced comparatively to the big stores. I also found some things that were priced at just silly price points, like the mops. You have to be a bit selective about your purchases here. The only other negative point is that as a smaller store, they won't always have what you need either because they don't stock it or out of it. I'm fine with that...it's the trade-off for the personalized service.
